Andy’s Photographic approach
When I first discovered photography in high school it was through the work of craftsmen such as Bill Brandt, Henri Cartier Bresson and Max Dupain. I was intreagued and excited by the documentry/reportage genre and the street style photographers that where able to capture and preserve fleeting moments on film, to show aspects and moments of peoples private lives to be seen and remember long after those moments have vanished.
I try to bring those same skills to my photography – in particular while shooting Weddings. To me, Wedding photography isn’t about images that say “ this is the dress I wore and this is how I wore my hair”. Wedding photography is about capturing all those special and fleeting moments; the laughter, happiness, the anticipation, anxiety, love, pride to preserve them long after the honeymoon.
